The R model was originally based off a Strat body with shaved down horns, making it more compact. The body is typically constructed with Swamp Ash or Mahogany and can have any desired scale length. The R model typically comes standard with Lindy Fralin Soapbar P-90 pickups, and the R Jr. Model comes with one pickup in the bridge position.
